YPF Squall...............

Given the weather outside I decided to post the Posh Yarns Lucia I bought last weekend because of the name alone! It is lovely yarn but with the roads flooding, the rain driving and cold, Squall fits my mood. It is a very large skein 155grams and I think it is a 'manly' colour for socks, would you agree? I have enough to do socks for all 3 men in my life with this extra large skein. :)

  1. That is such a lovely colour, very squally! I love the cardigan you are starting too, what colours have you chosen? I wish we had a crochet class near me, I am trying to master ripple crochet, with NO success at all :(

  2. A truly lovely color. I bet they are happy to get socks in that yarn... I´ve joined the Mystery Stole3 KAL. So now the biggest issue is to find yarn that suits and beads for it....

  3. Now I´ve made up my mind! I´ll knit it in Grignasco Merinosilk, black with golden beads (a bit rock´n roll I think ;) So I´ve ordered it from a yarnshop here in Sweden right now.... now there´s no return ;)

  8. Here´s first a link to the swedish yarn seller (sorry, no english..)
    http://www.3ug.se/brittandersson.html
And then to an colorchart found somewhere...
    http://www.yarns-and.com/Grignasco/GRImerinosilk.htm
It costs about £9,52 for a skein of 100g wich and it´s 1 533yds on each one so ít should do with one.
I know she´s selling abroad using paypal or/and payson if you´re interested. Let me know in that case and I´ll help you with mailadress and so on. ;)
Oh, here is the page with the yarn on too:

  9. I think that is a very appropriate colour for today! Just stick half a road of twigs, leaves and general debris in there and you could call it "My Street" :)

  11. Maggan thanks a million for your offer, it is very sweet. I think I will get some Zephyrspun in Vanilla, for easiness etc.

CJ I would keep it except that manly colours are few and far between and besides my stash is phenomenal, I have to share :D

Piglottie I couldn't believe the weather and the name was so coincidental that I had to post it! :)

  15. That's one big skein you've got there!!! Lovely colours.

Ah, Dublin. Was there in Sept. last year for a wedding which was coincidentally our 10th wedding anniversary on the same day!

I can't get over how much it has changed over the years. But I could never go back there. Although a long weekend here or there isn't such a bad thing!! Lol.

Thanks for dropping by my blog. You should give Needle Felting a go. It's funFunFUN!!!
