Knitting in Dublin...................

I did knit a bit more of my Rib and Cable Cardigan, but what I really got going on was my Monkey Swap 3 sock for my pal. I'm using Piece of Beauty Merino Sock in Granite Falls. I also picked up a 'monkey' badge at Dublin Zoo! :)

Sweet friends...............................

are the sort who bring tears to your eyes and a smile to your face, especially when other things are getting to you............

I saw this today and it made me cry and smile a lot. Thank you Piglottie very much.

Schmoozing is the natural ability “to converse casually, especially in order to gain an advantage or make a social connection.” Good schmoozers effortlessly weave their way in and out of the blogsphere, leaving friendly trails and smiles, happily making new friends along the way. They don’t limit their visits to only the rich and successful, but spend some time to say hello to new blogs as well. They are the ones who engage others in meaningful conversations, refusing to let it end at a mere hello - all the while fostering a sense of closeness and friendship".

You would be top of my choice list too. :)

As you have already been chosen I first pick Tiennie, who goes out of her way to answer every little comment made on her blog in a thoughtful, smile provoking and individual way. Mind you I am really jealous of her incredible DH. ;) He has made a fabulous choice in Tiennie.

I also chose Maggan, Artis-Anne, Joy and Natalie for their warm, kind comments on and off blog which I have come to think of as continuing unconditional positive regard.

There are so many wonderful people out there that the list is not limited to these select few. I named just 5 who 'schmooze' in and out of here..............I love you all. :)

By the way Piglottie I got sorted too.

Which Hogwarts house will you be sorted into?

Your in-depth results are:

Hufflepuff - 14
Ravenclaw - 14
Gryffindor - 11
Slytherin - 7

SNAP!

Rib and Cable progress report.

I have been knitting, not just spending frivolous time on Ravelry. I've now knit the left front, the back and half of one of the sleeves. I'm really really loving this pattern :)

YPF ..............Merino Tencel from YarnYard

This arrived from Natalie at The Yarnyard at the beginning of the week and was well worth waiting on.

Closeup: It is really really really silky soft too. :)

Watermelon Tourmaline

That's the name of the colour I chose. Seeing it wound and in a cake swung it for me! That and me thinking I had already got it and discovering I hadn't. I will be ordering the other 5, eventually, as I am WEAK!!! and I have a 10% off copupon!! :D

I am so priviledged in having wonderful blogging friends. One of whom, Piglottie has nominated me for a blogging award button.

I want to nominate

Fluffyknitting for her inspirational projects :)

Littleberry
for her lace knitting, extraordinary level!!

And last but not least the Guru Fiona who has kept me right more times than I can count!!

3 Rockin Girl Bloggers in my book! :)

A feast indeed!

I just found out that I won a skein of STR in the Rockin Sock club contest. I had to guess what was in the jar and how many there were. I guessed 113 and there were 115. Now to chose what colour :D What would you chose if it was you? 1,2,3,4,or 5 ?

Postscript: I added a 6th after seeing this in a cake on Ravelry, though the cake was more like this:

A feast...............

It appears to be a feast of a famine with parcels and the UK postal service at the moment. There were 4 seperate parcels waiting for me when I got home.

My Rowan 42 book arrived for my first year in the Rowan club. :) Charmed Knits from the Book Depository. :) The New Debbie Bliss Luxury collection from a lovely seller on ebay. :) And last but not least is my Yarnyard Merino Club yarn. A beautiful merino tencel sock yarn, so silky soft to touch. :) More pics later of that beauty :)

YPF .....................Enigma

I've been busy this week, at work, at home with the kids, going to see HP and the Order of the Phoenix. The other thing keeping me busy is Ravely, I got my invite last Saturday as I went to visit my brother and his family for my Godson's 2nd Birthday. As he lives 100 miles away we went for the weekend. :) I have since been attempting to add my stash, yarn by yarn, colourway by colour; my patterns and books and all my projects, wip's and FO :) It is a fascinating resource, but my blog has been neglected. I'm gilraen too on Ravelry so add me to your friends if you are on too. :)

This is a single skein of Colinette's Enigma in Florentine colourway, it looks so pretty.
