Nearly done.

I've got less than half a sleeve, a front side, the collar and sewing up to do yet. I have really enjoyed this knit so far.

Wollmeise Möbius-Wrap row 32 of 40

I have been feeling the love and colour of this wrap at the moment and have been knitting away at it. Each row is 400+ stitches in the round so it does take time with work and kids factored in, but I am about 80% done at this point. Do you 'feel' the colours as I do?

Claudia's pattern can be found at: Look under Free patterns/Freie Muster

'Gifts' Galore...............................

I got home from picking my sister up from Newcastle Co Down this morning to find the postman had left 3 parcels. One was some Piece of Beauty discontinued Merino Sock yarn I had 'traded' off a fellow Ravelry member. Another was another 'trade' from a friend Piglottie and the third was a thank you gift from my Monkey Pal Sheryl who I had sent my Monkeys socks etc to me a few weeks back. I love the Eleanora sock pattern, it was on a 'to buy' list. :) What can I say I'm overwhelmed by the pleasantness of the trades and the gifts, Thank you all :)

Hard grafting? maybe not.............

I finished the first of my Thinking Pink Monkeys. I love how this yarn knits up and it will be even softer washed etc. :)

The first of the second pair of micro monkeys.

A progress picture of the Mobius-wrap mark II, and I think it looks way better this time around.

This picture shows some of the buttonhole detailing in the wrap and the lovely colour combinations possible with Claudia's yarns.

SWIP ......?? Saturday WiP pics

These are what I worked on between sessions during the week. I occasionally had to hide the needles so the attendees didn't stab the facilitators with them! :D

Thinking Pink Monkeys with plain feet for a change. The yarn is Louet Gems fingering in Pink Panther.

YPF a little late.................but Smoochy!

This is late due to the course this week! 11-12 hour days most of the week! Lots of sock knitting done to 'destress' during the roller coaster ride we were placed on. Back to normality on Monday and some pics of socks progress tomorrow. Enjoy!!!! :)

Gratuitous yarn pic..............................

I'm on a heavy training course this week................6am start and 6-7pm finish all week. The light is no good before I leave and no good when I get home to take pictures, so here is a yarn pr0n pic to relieve the white/text. There is some knitting going on but not a lot and no progress report/pic for Wednesday.............

This is Fiesta Yarns Boomerang in Rhubarb, it is so so so soft.

FOs............feels good to finish something....

Firstly I finished the Vogue Silver anniversary Flower Scarf by Nicky Epstein. Because I used Aran weight silk instead of DK I adapted the pattern accordingly and used a single row of larger flowers instead of a 'ladder effect' of flowers as desribed in the magazine. It makes for a lovely soft but weighty scarf.

I finally finished these little socks for my little'un, before the first one was too small. Mind you leaving the second one for a few months meant there was a slight difference in how they turned out, but he loves them. They are knitted in the leftover yarn from a pair for my SiL in Little Lola from Woolly Workshop.

Thinking Pink....................................................

In keeping with the Breast Cancer Awareness theme this month I am adding a reminder to all my readers, check your breasts, get your girlfriends, boyfriends or partners to check them for you if you can't be bothered to check them yourself. Have fun but be safe and check them. My Aunt is 60+ having survived breast cancer 30+ years ago due to careful checking from an early age. :)

Do yourselves a favour this October and Think Pink!!

In honour or the pink theme my Sockamonth socks are Monkeys in Louet Gems Fingering in Pink Panther bought from Pick up Sticks and they are knitting up so soft.

Wip Wednesday.........red added to scarf

There are still some flowers to add :)

Prickly Pincushion..........

I took part in another swap on Crafty Threads. This time we sent pincushions to our pals. The one I sent was a boring felted i-cord sewn into a basket................this is the parcel I received from CraftyBernie my camera doesn't do the detail on this exquistite work of art (I kid you not) with pins made with tops of butterflies and flowers among other items.
Even the box was decorated beautifully!

A little magic Toadstool fairy home!

Flowers in the garden

Did you notice the handmade plastic shrunken pin heads?

I'm totally bowled away by the pincushion, thank you so much. I feel so priviledged.

Flower Scarf from Vogue Knitting

I am about half way through this first one, I will add a red flower or 2 to lift the colour, but it is a lovely knit. It looks so complicated but is so easy to knit a child could knit it with help with the sewing and finishing. This is the second of the Hipknits kits that I bought from Kerrie

Wollmeise Mobius-wrap mark 2 ..........................

I am so pleased how this is turning out now. I had to frog the first one and start again when I discovered I hadn't knitted each 420 stitch round but counted only 210 stitches as one round, I had also used the wrong colour to start with and thought it too dark. It's beautiful looking now and deserving of Claudia's yarn and lovely pattern.
