At last I started a RSC sock!!

I couldn't resist this yarn, it squealed to be wound into a cake and then to be knitted until I resisted! My first ever toe up, and my first club sock too! This yarn is divine!!!

A week's worth!!

I have been working very hard this week and last, putting in extra hours. And the light here is appalling. I had to wait until today to photograph a lot of these yarns and WiPs. I guess if this keeps up I will only get to post once a week for a while! I hope not. At least snow gives off wonderful light when it comes!! :)




This arrived during the week, one of a large order of Socks that Rock using my 10% off coupon, a bonus gift in the Rockin sock Club this year. :)

This yarn arrived from the Hipknits sale. Silk/Cashmere sock yarn in Seaweed.


A scarf for my sister for her pre Christmas Birthday (she is the Big 40 this year)
Pattern is Haven and yarn is Posh Eva (silk/cashmere 4ply) Colour Cumulous using 3.75mm needles.

I just found out that I won a skein of STR in the Rockin Sock club contest. I had to guess what was in the jar and how many there were. I guessed 113 and there were 115. Now to chose what colour :D What would you chose if it was you? 1,2,3,4,or 5 ?

This week's Pron is my June STR from the Rockin Sock Club. Tiennie has already knit Monkey's with hers.

Disgusted at USPS ........again

Remember the outrageous price hike? Well I was patiently waiting for the Rockin Sock Club yarn that BMFA sent via USPS on 14th June. It sat in San Francisco for 5 days, yes Five days!!!!!!!! A comment made was that the price hike was for the extra rental of space for storing parcels for all those days, but USPS isn't a storage company, it is a postal service, right???

The long and short of this post is that I go on holiday/vacation tomorrow and will have to wait another week plus to receive my STR club yarn. I was hoping to post a pic for YPF but that ain't going to happen now. And what does USPS say the parcel should arrive in.....up to 10 days well it is 9 days today.

RooBeeDoo posted that she got a parcel from US very cheaply, but that wasn't trackable post and the yarn companies like BMFA need tracking to keep the customers satisfied.
If USPS isn't more careful they will put an end to a lot of US businesses at this rate.

What better way to celebrate YPF than to show you today's arrival.
BMFA Socks That Rock (mediumweight) Fire on the Mountain. Both sides as this skein is so full of colour it takes a picture of both sides to do it justice. :)
