These arrived from Auntie Noo. They are my Birthday Swap gifts and are so lovely. I'm really delighted with the thoughtfulness and georgeousness of them. :) Thank you Auntie Noo. :)

Almost another pair of socks............
A sock and a bit for my SiL in Schaefer Lola #58, bought in the Easter sale from the lovely Gill at the Woolly Workshop. :)
I love the way the colour spirals as I knit. The yarn is fabulously soft and silky. It is also similar to Socks that Rock but not spun as tightly or firmly. The colours in this particular skein remind me of STR Rocktober. :)

Vanessa back now finished
I've got the back finished, now to start the front. :)
On another note my georgeous cards arrived from Piglottie. They are exquisite, hurry and get some before they sell out. Remember the proceeds go to charity. :)

Yarn Pron Friday again...............
What better way to celebrate YPF than to show you today's arrival.
BMFA Socks That Rock (mediumweight) Fire on the Mountain. Both sides as this skein is so full of colour it takes a picture of both sides to do it justice. :)
My club yarn (Walk on the Wild Tide) is on its way yesterday or today! :)

April Yarns at BMFA.........Socks that Rock at the sea
Remember the Rockin Sock Club competition in February? Well the yarns have been named, the winners rewarded and the colours posted on BMFA. Aren't they beautiful?
From Left to Right:
Tidepool, Undertoe, Lunasea, Socktopus. There is to be another colour but that is our April surprise which goes out the end of April to us lucky ones. :D

Yarn Pron Friday
This is my first YPF post ever. I've been admiring these posts on other blogs. These arrived yesterday and since I had posted other things I though, why not do a YPF picture post. :)
All Seasons Cotton in Purr from Jannette's Rare Yarns, Lola from WoollyWorkshop and my Posh Yarn parcel (Lucia in Dolly, Emily in Genteel and Heat Wave). They are all lovely. If only the postman could bring me some time too. :D

Progress with Vanessa.........
I'm about a third the way up the back of Vanessa. I'm knitting it in Jaeger Trinity and am knitting it as part of a KAL on Crafty Threads n Yarns. It's nice to knit something bigger than my foot for a little change, although I am also keeping Pomatomus on the go too. :)
Stolen Idea.............
I found this on sock prØn so I searched ebay and found one. The decoration on the pencil case was immaterial to me as I am not a Kitty fan in particular. What I wanted was one of these really clever and compact storage system for my DPNs as I prefer these to Circs. One tray I use for DPNs, one for sundries and one for my stitchmarker bits and bobs.

OTN ...................
I started Pomatomus by Cookie A in Posh Yarns Lucia, colourway Gladrags yesterday. I had started them in Fleece Artist Merino but thought it was a bit 'rough' so when my 2 year old pulled the dpns out I restarted in Lucia, so much softer.

What Hogwart's House have you been sorted to?
Which Hogwarts house will you be sorted into?
Your in-depth results are:
Hufflepuff - 16
Ravenclaw - 13
Gryffindor - 11
Slytherin - 7
I must be Hufflepuff as I previously did the big sorting quiz and got the same house. This particular quiz I found on Terri's Knits. Thanks Terri :)

Another Clapotis finished by the skin of my teeth!
I finished this last night and was so worried I wouldn't have enough, even though I used 400grams of Hipknits Aranweight silk. My Aunt had requested this as her Birthday present and I will be able to givie it to her this weekend. :)
I had only a tiny amount of yarn left, as you can see.
Stitchmarker Swap
These lovely Stitchmarkers atrrived today for my stitchmarker swappydoodles. I believe my benevolent stitchmaker was Sprite64 from Yarnimals. Thanks a million they have been added to my farmyard. :D

Stage 2.............
Piglottie wanted to see the reinforcement that I used in the bag. I bought these to do Prudence Mapstone bags, but I can get more. I really want this bag to be servicable. The felted yarn and bobbles are very stiff compared to other bags I've felted but I still wanted this bag to be perfect.
Here you can see the hand sewing needed to create the bag shape before machine sewing. BTW I deliberately used a strong colour for demonstration purposes. I also cut the oval base to avoid puckering while sewing with the machine.
It is a strong stiff cotton fabric which as you can see will stand up while sewn.
I have shown the lining inside showing the pocket machine sewn in place.
The lining pinned in place. I will have to hand sew this due to the bulk.
