I went to Dublin for the weekend and attended a beginners crochet class on Saturday morning at This is Knit in Blackrock. Ann and Lisa took the class and I learnt how to make a basic chain and do doubles etc. I can now finish my Debbie Bliss Tie fronted Cardigan.
Of course how could I pass up a real live yarn shop and not buy anything? So what did I get? 12 balls of DB Cashmerino for this and a few odd balls of Cashsilk and Puresilk for smaller items. :)
I had a ball and would have loved to have got on the DART and gone into Stephen's Green for the World Knit in Public event, but I had imposed on my aunt's goodness and her babysitting service long enough. :)
I am not buying yarn for a while now and going to finish up some of the many WiPs now on my list. :)

Lovely cardigan Gilraen, and it sounds like a wonderful trip! :)
The cardigan looks lovely, I look forward to seeing it done!
That cardigan is lovely... I love the colour. Can't wait to see it finished and modelled!!!!
Looking good so far :)
The rib and cable cardy is nice, looking forward to seeing the colours you've chosen.
Very pretty. And of course you had to buy yarn! So you didn't have to pay those outrageous shipping fees!
Sounds like a great trip. I love Dublin.
I took a crochet class last week too, and now feel empowered! Yay for yarn!
I am still hopeless at crochet! Will have to learn sometime.
The cardi looks lovely. Glad you can now finish it with the crochet edging. Sounds a great day out with yarn buying and all!
Aha you're going to make the ribby one then!!! And I want to make that tie front cardi - I reckon I'd better do a crochet class too;-)It looks lovely.
