I love it! Thanks for mentioning this as I've been looking round for a scarf pattern as all I seem to have knit lately is hats - and they need something to go with them! Is the pattern easy? And just wondering what yarn to use as cant see any recommendations on her blog (sorry for all the questions)?

I tried it initially in KPPPM and it ended up like a book mark. Firebrunnettes scarf is in Malabrigo which I believe is DK/aran weight or heavy worsted. I decided to try the aran weight silk and I love using it. The pattern is so addictive. I can now after 3 -4 repeats knit without the pattern. My only worry is trying out kitchener stitch for the first time. :)

Thanks for the info! Kitchener stitch is easy. I followed the instructions on this video http://www.knittinghelp.com/knitting/basic_techniques/misc.php and it was really easy to follow.

Am very pleased as I have 2 100g skeins of Malabrigo from my secret pal which I've been looking for something really special to do with. The colours are all fiery, autumnal and golds, so should work really well with the pattern. Sorry for all the questions, but how much yarn is needed for this pattern, would 200g be enough? Thanks for your help!

I think that 100 grams might be enough but I have a bit more to do on the second side before I could be certain. I am knitting each side approx 70cms which is right for me and I am approx half way through approx 100grams of Hip knits silk (aran).
