Summer of Socks 2008 4th pair

I finished these today. I loved knitting with this yarn :) 20% Merino and 20% Cashmere: Posh Yarn Laura in Rosewater. I used 2.5mm needles and the pattern is Waving Lace Socks from Favorite Socks. A lovely pattern to knit. :)

Now to try and get some more of this yarn :)

New Yarn and a Middle Earth themed project planned

I have to wait on the book The Eclectic Sole to knit these up but the yarn arrived today! A merino/Tencel combo which I bought because the colours really reminded me of Elvish structures :)

Chameleon Colorworks Twinkle Toes in Glacial Moraine

Georgeous stuff indeed, but the name also reminded me of my A Level geography class and stuying Glaciers...............funny what comes back to you more than 20 years later.............terminal, medial and lateral moraine!! Hugh the teacher would be proud!! :)

Still with a dodgy pc :(

My main pc is still awaiting pick up, I guess there is always a down side to getting away for a few days! Dublin was fabulous! Cold but sunny, dry and wonderful! I even got into see Lisa and Jacquie at This is Knit. They had lots of scrummy new yarns!!! "I'll be back" However I was on a mission to pick up some DB Cashmerino DK to do another Rib and Cable Cardigan since my little sis ran off with the last one!!! I got this lovely blood red (it looks blood red to me!).

I also picked up some Noro Cash Iroho to complete my Sursa, which has been waiting patiently for this :)

I also got in a little knitting! Some more socks..........

My Karenina Socks by Jane Lithglow:Socktopus Club socks.
The yarn is Knittery Merino cashmere sock yarn.

Another pair of No Purl monkeys in Posh Emily: colour Pomegranate.

That's all folks, for now, there will more later in the week, computer permitting!! :)
