Summer of Socks 2008 8th completed pair
My last and final pair of socks for Summer of Socks 08. Despite the compliments I cannot knit another pair before tomorrow :) I loved knitting these; the pattern: Simplicity by Janel Laidman is lovely and you already know I adore this yarn. All that is needed now is a spoon to eat up the Strawberries and Cream ;) My godmother has claimed these socks for herself!! Good taste I think, she will even hand wash them having had them on her feet. "Like having your feet kissed"
Now that summer of socks is over I should finish off some WIPs............before they get eaten by moths etc !!!!! And so that when the Autumn Squee Club Plushness/Wollmeise Sock club/Sundara Seasons arrives I will have a better clear deck to start from!! :) No more yarn for a while!!!!.................................yeah right!

YPF.................................Yartini Sport or eye Candy?
I am off for a few days in Paris...Disneyland for my baby's 4th birthday...............where does the time go to?? This week's yarn is a real piece of eye candy............acquired by Ravelry trade with a lovely irishgirlieknits. The yarn is Yarntini sportweight in Sunrise. It reminds me of sweets from my child hood.
What does it remind you of??
See you tomorrow.........................after I find out if I 'won' a place in the Wollmeise Sock club :)

My first test knit...................
I tested knitted a sock pattern for a fellow Raveler. I volunteered and then discovered it was toe up..................I hadn't yet knit a complete toe up sock! But I had said I would so I did. I loved this pattern and this yarn was just perfect for the pattern :) The Pattern is Ruth's Harvest Socks and is published in the Inside Loop online magazine this month. I knit it in Claudia's Handpainted Sock Yarn: Honey. 2.5mm needles. Thank you Susan and good luck :)

Ravelympics WIP Wrestling.............one down and out!!
I started this in January 08 and have been very slow at knitting it. I added it to my WIP Wrestling list on Ravelympics to urge me on in finishing it. :) The pattern is Haven by Kim Hargreaves from Heartfelt - The Darkhouse collection. The yarn is Hipknits Cashmere Silk - 4 ply (1 skein) and knitted with 3.75mm needles. It is lovely and soft and the recipient ( my wonderful Godmother) will finally get it next weekend :)
